Since I'm being seen by an Ortho Dr for my right knee and starting Physical Training with them next week I am unable to do squats or lunges, jumping jacks any type of exercise that effects the knee. I explained I need to lose weight so how would I do that without lower body workout they suggested working upper body with weights. ALL my DVD video that I have ALWAYS incorporate lower body and when I fast forward thru those parts I feel like I'm "cheating" my hour workout.

Looking for suggestions. I'm more of the type of person to follow along with a DVD versus pulling up pictures and doing them that way. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks for any help!

  • Hi! Jackie Warner has a video called "Power Circuit Training" I bought this from a Target. You can pick and choose from the main menu to do just the upper body workout. (saves from having to fast forward) It is only 15 minutes, however very effective. Something I do when I have a break day from cardio. You may want to check out www.collagevideo.com that has tons of DVD's to review.

Oh, and good luck on your PT!

If you can get ahold of some of the p90x upper body workouts I highly recommend them. I believe you can buy them individually but a lot of people buy the whole set and only use the cardio related workouts. I did the program a few years ago and recently started it back up, I am about 30 days in to the program (have not skipped a day) and am already noticing great results.

Thanks Ladies. I also just looked up Jilliam Michael's 30 day Shed Phase 1 on Youtube and found it to be pretty doable. instead of Jumping Jacks I just move my legs out while flapping my arms. But I kept going. Only got to do first 20 minutes of it because school bus came and had to go out to meet it for the little ones but am for sure going to try it again tomorrow in the morning.

I have the Slim in Six series by Beach body but it has more like 15-20 minutes out of the 1 hr workout just for lunges, squats etc. Going to look up those videos that both of you mentioned and see if i can find them too on Ebay.

    Thanks again!
