NSV: Doctor's Office

Bad news...I have a sinus infection.
Awesome news...the dr's office was floored by how much weight I lost!
When we got to scale, I was thinking, ok, moment of truth...let's see if they start at the 200s or the 100s. I was super bummed to see her roll the weight on up to the 200's. Boo!! But she quickly readjusted and got it settled on 183 (less than what I weighed this morning). I was a fit-in today, so I did not know the nurse but she was all..."wow. have you lost a ton of weight? Your last weight here was very different." Apparently, they look at your chart to see weight before you come in and gauge the scale from there. She said, I knew when I looked at you, you were not that weight Yay! My last weight there was 231...I have lost almost 50 lbs!
NSV was that and that she did not need to use the big cuff to take BP.
When the Doctor (not my normal one) came in, she spent more than half the appt finding out what I had done, what worked for me, and congratulating me. She was so happy for me! They called me inspirational and said they always hope their patient's take their advice like I did and she knows I am doing great things for my kids.
Yay! Felt so good. Happy smiles, even with a sinus infection!

It is nice to hear that rather than all the stuff you **should** be doing....which is why I have to be half dead before I visit the doctor. Good job on the NSV!!!!0

Awesome! I know exactly how you feel! I was over 200lbs when i gave birth to my oldest son. The first time i went to the doctor's and was under 150lbs i almost cried (so did my doctor!) Keep up the good work!!0

I love to hear these stories. Two that my friend who lost 200 pounds had that really stuck with me were:
- she was finally able to pass a physical to get life insurance.
- her hubby gave her a piggyback ride - she could not remember ever having a piggyback ride before. As a child she was already 100 lb by the time she was 5 or 6. That one brought a tear to my eye!0 -
that's fantastic and your profile pic is fantastic. Also, I had the worse sinus infection ever. It's going around like crazy here, everyone is on it. I was on 3 different kinds of antibiotics and now I'm waiting to see a specialist so I can hear again :S0
