Looking for clean eating success stories!

I've been on MFP for about a year now and in maintenance mode since Christmas. I've kept the weight off (yay!), but to be honest, I'm nowhere near where I want to be physically. I feel like I've tried everything: Jillian videos, running, spin classes, strength training, you name it. And yet I basically look just like my old self once the clothes are off, just twenty lbs and two sizes smaller. I want to get lean, and it seems like the one factor I've been conveniently ignoring is my diet.
I generally eat well, but could stand to cut the crap out of my diet. Not to mention, I have some yet-undiagnosed GI issues that interfere with my daily life, and I'd to see if eating clean(er) helps.
To all the clean eaters out there: any advice to share? How long until you saw physical results, if any? How did you feel before/during eating clean?
I've never really tried anything like this before. Even when losing weight last year, I still ate a lot of what I'd call crap, just less of it.

By clean do you mean limiting junk food or do you mean more of a cleanse diet?
I eat clean everyday but one out of the week. I am never going to be fantastically ecstatic about eating veggies most of the day so I need my one day to have whatever I'd like (though admittedly, it's more like 10 chips than 1/2 a bag since I still keep it under 1600 cals that day).0 -

Eating whole, natural foods, while limiting processed foods (things that come in bags or boxes).0 -
Im a clean eater and I have noticed that my energy is great and I used to have (TMI) IBS really really bad, since I cleaned up my diet that has all but disappeared.0

Or...if it wasn't grown from the ground or didn't have a mom its not clean. I prefer to stay away from ingredients I can't pronounce and what in the heck is artificial?? Made in a lab? No thanks

I admire all the clean eaters I know. I eat clean(er) than I used to, but definitely not all clean. I try to think 80% clean, 20% free--it keeps me sane. Cheers to those who do it all the way though, you'll probably outlive all the rest of us! :laugh:0

I'm new to it, but eating clean seems to be limiting or eliminating junk and processed foods.
I think for me, I'd like to do an 80/20 approach at first (80% clean, 20% other) and see if I can't eventually eliminate more. I'm not interested in giving up chocolate for life or never eating Chipotle again, so 90% is probably the best I could do! :laugh: I've also lowered my carb intake to 40% max and will be limiting refined sugars.
In addition to having some body fat that I'd like to get rid of, I also suffer from various GI issues. If there's a chance that eating less crap will make me look better AND feel better, I'm all in!
I'm on day 2 of mindfully eating clean(er), I've felt great! Had some pretty intense sugar cravings right before dinner, but a few sips of my protein shake cleared that up...

I followed Metabolic Jumpstart for 8 weeks and still follow it pretty much with a bit of give and take.
Its all about cleaning eating/ nutrient rich foods.. I loved it and had awesome results :-)0 -
Im a clean eater... well probably more of a 90/10 clean eater. One of the first things I noticed when I stopped eating processed foods was no more 'bloat' feeling :glasses:0

I'm probably 90/10 also. I eat an organic, whole foods diet and cook almost everything from scratch. I feel great eating like this. It's not just about hitting my calorie goals. It's how I feel at the end of the day about what I put in my body.0

I've ate clean since January. But my measurements and weight has not changed. I work out too. But I take meds which have weight gain as a side effect and it's hard to lose weight on them. I also have metabolic syndrome which makes it hard to lose weight. But I have noticed more energy, shiner hair, glowing skin and a great improvement in my moods and anxiety levels. The benefits are just as important as weight loss to me.0

I started eating clean back in March. I HAVE seen pretty dramatic changes - my sugar cravings are completely gone for the first time in my life. I have no desire to eat crap food at all. And my stomach is the flattest it has ever been! I can't even suck it in to make it any flatter, which is pretty darned cool. I'm still pretty early on into this, but I am loving it and will not return to my previous lifestyle. That other food is just nasty now!0

This is exactly what I was going to post, glad I searched first.
I would love to look at food diaries too since although I have a good idea what clean eating is, I really need to see how it's put to use.0 -
