Thought I would share my fave protein bar recipe since it's hard to find a good one. Got this recipe from Jamie Eason's website but tweaked it a bit for my taste.
1 cup oat flour
2 scoops vanilla protein powder ( i use body fortress)
1/4 tsp salt
2 qt mix lemon flavoured crystal light
4 egg whites
8 oz baby food applesauce
1/3 cup water ( i use half water, half lemon juice for tartier bars)
preheat oven 350. spray an 8 x 8 pyrex dish with non stick cooking spray. whisk all dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. whisk all wet ingredients in a second bowl. add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. mix well. pour into sprayed pyrex dish. bake 20-23 minutes. it is done when toothpick inserted in the centre of pan comes out clean. let cool. cut into 8 bars.
each bar has 9 g protein, 1 g fat, 86 calories
enjoy:-)
