I'm a daily logger..workout about 5 times a week or more if I'm not too busy. Ive lost 9 lbs in a couple of months and striving to lose about 5 more!!..If you swear by this site, like I do and are just as motivated as I am, feel free to add me:)

I was unemployed, so no crazy, expensive diets or websites were in the budget when I decided at 245 lbs to lose weight. I had started tracking calories in excel. I was three weeks in when a friend told me about MFP. I'm 265 days in and have lost 89 pounds...If anyone had told me that it would be as easy as logging and tracking here, I would have told them they were totally crazy. The process of sticking to a calorie intake and combining exercise has slimmed me from the toes up and from the sides in. I still have some pounds to lose, but it is so great "seeing" the results on me and in the calculations on this site.
I think the easiest part for me is the huge database of foods from all of my favorite restaurants and increasing my internet savvy by going to the sites and looking up nutritional values BEFORE I eat. The new Cherry Berry drink from McDonalds is only 220 calories which equates to about 30 minutes on the elliptical machine...I would have never thought to do this on my own...

I love MPF, it's mint! I've made some lovely friends on here too and it really does help having people who are in the same boat as you...to help you along with advice and encouragement!
I eat 1900 cals a day minimum and usually work out for 4-5 hours a week. I don't use MFP's recommendations as I'm under a private Nutritionist but, the database and exercise logger is brilliant and it's great being able to help others who are maybe struggling with something that I've managed to "get my head around" at an earlier stage.
Since January I've lost 18lbs and I'm down 1-2 dress sizes. Steady and slowly wins the race, you gotta make changes that you can maintain for life. What I'm doing, I can do that as this isn't a diet, it's nutrition and fitness education! If anyone wants anymore buddies or any advice, my door is always open!
