Every time I move, my body feels overheated!

So, Since starting my whole lifestyle change with regular excercise and eating healthy, there are times where I just don't feel right. ( or maybe its normal, but I have never experienced it before). Now, Whenever I get up and start walking or do something light, my legs start to burn like I am working out, and my heart rate starts to go up noticably. I have a front desk job where I am mostly sitting all day ( blah ) so, I can see why my heart rate would elevate, however this change has been recent, last couple of weeks where I really feel it pounding. I'm not sure if this is my body reacting to my new fitness regimens and now whenever I get moving it thinks its time to work out? I get really warm too. It's just a weird change and I'm not sure if its something to be concerned about, or normal.. any input would be appreciated :)

It's probably nothing, but go to the doctor and get your thyroid tested.

Sheesh you think it could have anything to do with that?!

Could be, it's a fairly common problem in women. Nothing to worry about, but it could be a pain in the *kitten* if you don't get it regulated. Also, print out you eating and exercise sheet from this site and give it to your doctor. She/he may be able to see if you're missing something essential.

I don't know how long you've been at this but after I had been working out about 3 months and right after starting MFP, I would have what you describe occasionally. It almost felt like a hot flash but not quite. I haven't had it in the last few weeks, though. It eventually went away. I figured it was my body trying to adjust to my increased working out/eating better. Like my metabolism was shifting into a higher gear. Maybe that was wishful thinking, though.

It's almost certainly nothing to be worried about, but you won't have to worry about it at all if you see your doctor and make sure.

See that's what I thought.. But sometimes it makes me nervous, Like I don't know if its normal lol.. but a " hot flash" seems to kind of describe it perfectly.. I have never experienced hot flashes but, I would imagine this feeling is pretty close to it.

If you are not used to working out, then this wouldn't be surprising. I doubt its your thyroid. Usually people with high thyroid get palpitations at rest. However, if its really concerning make an appointment with your Doctor or Nurse practitioner.
