just a question....

So my diary says i need like 1200 a day, i usually work out daily and burn around 530 calories.

anyway i usually come in way under my goal calories for the day and it tells me i will send my body into starvation mode. Well my question is what do i do? i eat every time i am hungry, I'm not trying to starve myself. I'm just confused

  • I vivited my dr. yesterday and she advised me to eat all of the calories i was supposed too. However, i am allowed to "Pigout" one day a week so that my body do not go into stravation mode. u might try that. Good luck.

You NEED to eat exercise cals back to fuel your workouts. I made the mistake of stopping at 1200 each day (not net, only base) and started a 5 month agonizing cycle of not losing... 5 months and only 10 lb came off. Then I started eating back and it started coming off again...
  • I'm having the exact same problem. I'm at 1200 base calories also, but have been exercising daily too and adding those calories back in. It's been tough for me to eat the full amount of calories because, like you, I'm not starving (like I thought I would be) and I don't want to eat just to be eating. The last time I counted calories, it was the Curves diet and with that, you start out at 1200 calories, then you slowly add calories back into your diet. The thinking there was to not really be on a "diet" forever. I liked that, but I never added calories back in because of exercising. I'm glad I see that I'm not the only one who's having this problem. Also, I know on the weekends, I tend to eat more, so hopefully it will all kind of balance itself out as one other mentioned on here. Good luck hitting your target calories!
