Continue or start over? ChaLEAN Extreme

I completed the first 3 and a half weeks (I think it was) of ChaLEAN Extreme. I pulled a muscle and was really busy with finals, so I took about 2 weeks off. I attempted phase 2 (push phase.. you fail at 6-8 reps instead of 10-12) last week and found out that I needed 12 lb weights (my 10's were too light and my 15's were too heavy). AND I somehow strained my foot. So this week I have been doing random workouts (Brazil Butt Lift Bum Bum and TurboFire). My 12 lb weights should be delivered next week.

My question is.. should I start back where I left off or start over? Thanks

I had a similar problem. I was 6 weeks into Turbo Fire when my DVD player decided it didn't want to work anymore. It was a week or two before I ended up getting a new one so I ended up starting over from day 1. I guess it depends on how long of a break you take...if its only been a week I would say you can pick up where you left off.
  • It's been about 3 weeks total.

Pick up in the Push Phase and if you find you're not improving after a week, go back to the Burn Phase. Even if you have to use your 10-pound weight and use Chalene's techniques of adding your own resistance.

Try the push phase and if you feel you are lifting almost what you were at in the Burn Phase and it is hard then go back and redo burn.

I personally would start over using the heavier weights.

    Good Luck!

I purchased the DVDs some time ago and have tried to go through the program but I do not own suitable dumbbells so I tried to go through the program using bands. I found the movements too awkward when done with bands and using the bands throws off my balance. After numerous times of losing my balance and falling when doing exercises that involved standing on one leg while doing band exercises I called it quits. Maybe I'll give it a try again once I've obtained a set of suitable dumbbells, but the bands are OUT.

I've found other forms of exercise I actually enjoy though so I doubt I'll ever get back to it.
