    I hate when people use the n word, it is a horrible word, I wish people would stop thinking it is fun to call their friends. I also hate when people (cough cough my hispanic husband) says a bee bite or someone got bit by a bee. Bees sting not bite stop saying it!!!

    I hate the God D*a*n word! ppl you can just say d*m* and it be just as effective.

    I think the word d*ck is gross or any word that refers to the male reproductive system

    I also hate the word rape, and the F-word

    Moist is all time top for everyone I think.

    Another word I hate because of the way is sounds, not for what it is is obese. It just reminds me of like...a slug. Or a mythological creature...

    Crotch is another word that is weird to say.

    Hate when people do that text typing in every conversation. ikr, hmu, lms, sry, srsly, smtg....It takes an extra 2 seconds to type out the rest of the word...

    I have a ick about toes and toe nails and the word sliver makes me think of splinters so...*shudders*

    This thread is hilarious! I can't think of any particular word that rubs me the wrong way right off hand...I have a friend who sometimes uses the non-word "flustrated" (I think it's a combination of flustered and frustrated), but I don't hate that, I just find it mildly amusing.

    It seems that most of the words people have posted about have either (a) negative associations (e.g. moist, c***, etc.), or (b) a large overuse/annoyance factor (e.g. "just sayin'").

    Has anyone had the opposite experience? Are there words that sound really pretty to you, but which have very negative associations? One that springs right to mind for me is "chlamydia." It sounds quite lyrical to me! LOL :tongue:

    Bank when used in the sentence as a form of currency. E.g. "I went to the casino and made serious bank" or I "won my bank from a hand of blackjack!" . It reminds me something a twelve year old would say...

    -hru (not actually a word but hate when ppl type that way, I can understand on text messages, but in a chat or email? grrrrrrrr are u that lazy to type?, then bye!

    I hate the word liked when used out of context.

    When I was in College I counted how many times this one girl said like during her 10 minute oral presentation. I had to stop at 100 because it was depressing me.
