Weight loss Vs Inch loss

Which is more important?

Also - does anyone know how many lbs = 1 dress size?

    i think inches esp once you've stopped losing weight as muscle tone is gona make you weigh heavier xx

    Here's my thing.... 2 years a go I lost 25+ pounds... by running/walking & eating better... the scale moved & I was happy... then I wanted to tone... well I had gained 10lbs back (not all from toning) So I wanted to get the scale back down, but this time I thought maybe I'd add toning(Jillian's 30 Day shred) to a little less running... and still walking... well although I did see minimal toning... and I do Love Jillian's workout, I did not see change on the scale... so as far as the toning while losing, this did not happen for me (I know muscle weighs more than fat etc.) but for me the scale means alot...I am heavier than I should be, so I now feel I have to go back to the 1st round... walking & adding running... to see the scale move, then when I get nearer my goal weight, I am fully intending on adding Jillian + weights back into it. Right or wrong, this is what will work for me... maybe I should not put so much emphasis on the scale, but old habits die hard... so I am doing that... I have 15 pounds to lose, then I will be in maintenance mode and adding the weights to tone. BUT if you have alot of weight to lose, TO AVOID HANGING SKIN... I highly recommend doing somehting(s) to avoid that during your weight loss journey. As I have read on here before, there are many opinions, BUT ALL IN ALL IT COMES DOWN TO WHAT WORKS FOR YOUR BODY.... and since I've done it 2 diff. ways, I feel I am on the right track for my body & health issues :0 Good Luck!! :wink: AND REMEMBER, ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING :flowerforyou: !!!!

    I think inches are more important in the long run. When your clothes fit well it makes you feel good, and that's about inches, not pounds.

    But I can't deny how good I feel when I see a loss on the scale!!

    PS - how many pounds = 1 size SOOO depends on how tall you are and how you carry your weight. I am 5'9" and usually about 10lb = 1 size for me.
