At what point are you over training with exercise and doing more harm to yourself than good and burning lean muscle and not fat?

    depends on tons of different variables... wuts ur current workout regimen or workout split?

    Essentially, when you are not fueling your body for the amount of working out you do. This would usually happen if you are constantly netting under BMR for an extended period of time (weeks), if you body is unable to convert the body fat you have into usable energy fast enough to make up the difference.

    You can usually tell by the way you feel (tired, irritable, poor performances during workouts, etc)

    agreed. Your body is capable of way more than you think given enough sleep and fuel.
