Jillian Michaels DVD's questions and weight loss then gain?

I have been doing the 30DS dvd for almost 2 weeks now - pretty much every day with the exception that I've taken a few rest days. I am curious - how often should you be doing it? Every day? 5 Days a week? Do you incorporate other workouts or cardio while doing it, if so - how often? I've been following a 1200 cal/day meal plan and sticking to it. During week one (mostly water weight, as I gave up pop and am now strictly drinking water) I lost almost 4 lbs, but this week it seems the scale is moving back UP! It's frustrating. Two days this week I did her Burn Fat Boost Metabolism DVD, just b/c it's mostly cardio and read others do extra cardio with 30DS - but also b/c the scale is going the wrong way! :huh: I wish I would have done my measurments a week ago, then maybe I wouldn't be so obsessed with the numbers on the scales, but it's certainly frustrating. We have family vacation plans in JULY so I have a goal in mind I'd like to achieve by then. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

    I have doing the 30 day shred and I have one rest day a week. I also do a lot of walking with my baby and I have started the couch to 5k program but only started this a week ago. I would stick with it. I didn't lose any weight one week and then lost 2 pounds the week after. I also tend to eat a bit more if I have done a lot of exercise but I don't tend to eat over 1500 calories.
