bruising after weight loss

Hey there. I've lost a lot of weight but am still overweight (between a size 10-12). However, over the past year I keep bruising the area over my left hip bone. I am careful about the way I carry my laundry basket as not to rest weight on it and even belts can cause soreness. I thought this may have just been my body's reaction to having less padding on that area but figured it would eventually get used to it (I don't hear thing girls talk about, nor see on their bodies, a problem with bruising on bonier areas). I do plan on bringing this up with my PCP as it is a persistent problem.
Has anyone else experienced this after weight loss? What have you done to help it?

I have too, I asked my trainer about this and he told me that its probably a deficiency in my diet because as your body builds muscle, it should be more resistant to bruising versus when it's fatty.0

hmmm. Shouldn't be a deficiency (just had all my blood work done recently). Was yours just in one spot or all over? This is literally just my left hip.0

I get this too, especially on my hipbones. It's weird to have to adjust for hipbones and to have my butt hurt if I sit wrong because my actual butt bones are not (as) buried under my copious derriere. Which side do you sleep on? I sleep on my right and it seems like I get a worse bruise there.0

Kris - First off, you look INCREDIBLE! You should be very proud of your hard work.
I sleep on my right side and it's mostly on my left hip. But, I've actually started sleeping more on my back to avoid the right hip... so I totally get you there.0
