Rest Days.

Hi all!! I'm currently working out with the Jillian Michaels 30 Day shred. On top of that I try and hit the gym at least 5-6 days a week spending 35min on the eliptical 35min on the stair stepper and 35min walking it out on the treadmill. I also encorporate a nice chunk of abs at the gym. My question is when/what days should I be having a rest day? And what do you consider a rest day? A full day off of all activity? Just doing maybe level 1 of jillian?
Thanks!!
PS. I'm currently on level 2 of jillian
Thanks!!

I wouldn't do the 30DS on consecutive days, as there are a lot of strength exercises and you would have the best results by giving your muscles time to rest. I have seen people on MFP say they've done it 6 days a week with good results though, so I suppose it's really up to you but JM has said that she didn't intend for it to be done every day. If you decide to take rest days, just sticking to the treadmill is probably your best bet.
A rest day to me is a day that I don't work any muscles I worked on the previous day, so you might be able to alternate between level 2 and level 1 if you really want to keep going... I don't remember how repetitive level 2 is of level 1.0 -
Thanks! I did a light day today of jillian and no gym. Hubby had to pull CQ so I couldn't make it to the gym and decided since it was mother's day i deserved a light day lol0

I try to balance my calorie intake with working out, if youre eating well give yourself a break. Last week i went bizerk with workouts but i also went over a lot in calories, ended up losing 0.2 lbs this week which is really good considering i was eating like a maniac.0
