after a workout? I read that its best to have something with both carbs and proteins 10-45 mins after you workout to replenish and repair the muscles.
In the mornings after i do my workouts i'm going to be having a glass of chocolate milk, but i don't know what to have after my run. normally my evening snack is mandarin oranges (the little cups you can buy at the grocery store) so i'm not sure if i should be having something else

I have a protein shake with a banana blended in it.
Or lowfat yogurt with 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
Or if i feel like i deserve it 2 tbsp almond butter with carrots, or wheat bagel0 -
I workout in the morning. So it's usually followed by eggs/or egg whites, some kind of meat and an english muffin.0

If you freeze the little fruit cups, they lasst longer when you eat them, so it feels like your eatting more, and takes up more time. also they taste amazing:)0

I actually just read in a magazine today that chocolate milk is proven to be effective at helping your body recover from workouts because it has protein and sugar, and makes a second workout more effective (if you do more than one in a day).0

i forgot to put my fruit cup in the freezer earlier, but i put it in a few mins ago and i'm going to try it in the morning!0
