I'm starting p90x today when I get home from work and I was curious... Since I have a gym at the office is it ok to do 45-60 mins of cardio then p90x when I get home? I've got 123 days to lose as much of 50lbs as possible. Other than it being really hard and really tiring any other negative aspects?

Last year I did something similar. Really tends to drag you down. I ended up getting run down after about two months and fell off of P90X and my diet. Result was I put the 25 lbs I lost back on over the next 12 months. Taking it off now with a more reasonable regime of nearly daily cardio and every other day strength training. May try the P90X again in the fall. Good Luck!

There is more than enough cardio in P90X to keep you going...Don`t overdo it or your not going to see the results..

I wouldn't do the extra cardio when you start. After you get into P90X you'll find your rhythm and you'll know which days you can handle extra cardio and which ones you can't. I know for me I could handle (although I don't have time to do it) extra cardio on some of the strength days, but on other days I know there's no way I could handle more- especially plyo day.

I'm on day 57 and doing chest and back this afternoon. If my mood hasn't improved (I'm in a REALLY bad mood this morning) by lunchtime I may jump on the elliptical for 20 minutes or so to try to get some endorphins going to improve my mood. I know I can handle that and still do chest and back this afternoon.
