Hi I'm Kinda new here. I Am an a Dr. prescribed Diet And I know that I'm losing to fast but my dr thinks it is great and has set a goal of 220 by new years. I have to have sugery and they what me to lose the weight before I have it. To make it safer. Well I really am trying to stay around 1000-1200 cals but my meeds make that hard now. I'm learing alot from reading the boards and I'm worried about what is going to happen to my body now that it is all messed up. I did talk to my endo Dr thurs and she said that my some was high and that the chance of Diabets was very high. She said that losing like this was fine because of my size but I'm worried. I have to lose the weight for sugery there is no ? about that. I almost died having my c section with my son. And not having the sugery is not an option.
But like today I had a yard sale today and got a super major 10Hr work out. It was great. I put it in exercise as heavy cleaning. I only sat down for about ten minutes. My Cals are WAY down tonight. I need like 2000 to replace my cals. What do I do? I stuffed my face for dinner to the point I feel bloated.( I havent felt like that in a month) How do I get those Cals tonight. I've had 2 glasses of fat free milk tonight with dinner. If I dont get those Cals then what? Should I go get a huge bowl of Ice cream. I dont have any nuts i ate the last today. I just really want to be healthy more than the weight loss I just want to feel good. I just asking for some Suggestions. By The Way I love this site. It has gotten my very focused and I like to read all the threads. Thanks All.

Hi Mybabiesrock,
For you to burn 2000 calories in one day is really intense.Don't go for ice cream it is not worth it. Yes you want calories but not just fat calories. Try fruits, lean proteins, brown rice things that have fiber. Sometimes when I exercise I don't eat all my exercise calories because I'm just not hungry. Hope this helps you.. I noticed on your food diary you don't eat much for breakfast.
If you are on 1200 calories a day what I do is breakfast, lunch and dinner 300 calories each. I eat snacks between breakfast and lunch each one no more than 150 calories. Water is drank with eat meal at least 16 ounces. I hope this helps you. You can reach your mini goal . You can do.:flowerforyou:0 -

Just count this day as a learning experience. I wouldn't force myself to eat just to get a few cals in before bedtime. You won't go into starvation mode after one day of too few calories. We all have these days..good planning can make them fewer, but they can never be eliminated (if life were only so simple  )
Go to bed and rest your tired bones. Yardsale-ing can be a doozy! Start fresh tomorrow...as tomorrow is a new day with new good decisions to make! :glasses:0 -
I never have one of those days were I want to eat everything in site because I'm On adipex. . I dont care for the med but It is working towards the goal. I have To take thryiod meds in the morning so I have to wait an hour or so to eat breakfast an by that time the adipex has kicked in. I have to take the Adipex very first thing when I wake up or I wont sleep.I have a gotier and very possible thyriod cancer. They are still testing but my thryiod has to be removed. I wasnt posting to ask if it was ok to eat icecream but just to see If any one had any suggestions on late night eating. I just dont feel like they way I'm doing it is healthy. I weigh 268 but started out at 297. That was Aug 20 20090

your doing it right .1200 calories is what we all should be eating, you dont need that much food .its what got us in this mess. you have to learn to get the most for your buck on a 1200 calorie diet ,and its tough because your use to eating 3000 calorie a day with no exercise. i know its hard for you we get to drop slow 1800-1500-1400-1300-1200- where you dont .it just gives us less pain . my sister went through the same thing .you will be fine just do what the doctor says and get the weight off. you do now the weight is what cause all this for you:flowerforyou:0

I had a day of intense exercise yesterday too - 3 hours of heavy yard work in 90 degree heat. It earned me about 800 extra calories, but I was running running running all day and by the time I slowed down to eat, it was too late to eat that much.
I don't think it will hurt to have one of those days once in a while. As long as you eat healthy and adequately 99% of the time, then your body will be fine.
Ideas to add calories late at night - a handful of almonds, kaukauna lite cheese and whole wheat crackers, a hard boiled egg or two, a bowl of cereal with skim milk, raisin cinn toast with peanut butter.
1200 calories is NOT right for everyone. That is merely a minimum guideline for what women should take in to keep the basic functions going. If you burn off more than that, you should eat the calories to compensate and keep your body organs functioning properly. If you don't eat enough, you feel sluggish, cranky, fuzzy headed, and tired. This is NOT the ideal way to live  even if you do lose weight that way.
Hope you don't have cancer and your thyroid issue is resolved. :frown:0
