Hi there everyone ... this group is for people who would like to record their weight each Thursday and set a goal for the end of 2009. We also post any old time to chat, advise, and support each other. New members are always welcome. Just cut and paste the section of the scedule below that pertains to when you started and you're on your way.
YEAR END GOAL: I would like to be 20 lbs. lighter by then ... that would bring me to 169 lbs.
July 16 - 189 lbs.
July 23 - 187.5 lbs. (-1.5 lbs.)
July 30 - 186 lbs. (-1.5 lbs. this week)(-3 lbs. since the Thursday group formed)
Aug 6 - 184.5 lbs. (-1.5 lbs. this week)(-4.5 lbs. since the Thursday group formed)
Aug 13 - 185 lbs (+.5 lbs. this week) (-4 lbs. since the Thursday group formed)
Aug 20 - 183 lbs (-2 lbs. this week) (-6 lbs. since the Thursday group formed)
Aug 27 - 180.5 lbs (-2.5 lbs. this week) (-8.5 lbs. since the Thursday group formed)
Sept 3 - 181.5 lbs (+1 lb. this week) (-7.5 lbs. since the Thursday group formed)
Sept 10 - 179.5 (-2 lb. this week) (-9.5 lbs. since the Thursday group formed)
Sept 17 - 176.5 (-3 lb. this week) (-12.5 lbs. since the Thursday group formed)
Sept 24 - 174.5 (-2 lb. this week) (-15 lbs. since the Thursday group formed)

Hey Ladies, good work everyone way to go! I am down 1 pound this week I think I might be working out to hard and getting a bit more muscle. But I know it will start switching soon. I hope so I seem to lose that first 10 kind of easy and then it seems to stop no matter what I try. I have alot to lose it's not like it's the last 10 which is always tricky so I don't know why for me it's always been that way.
I have been this size for a long long time, maybe I have to increase my work outs but I already do over an hour of cardio a day (not weekends) and weights every other. I will give it another week or so and I guess if I have to go longer with the cardio I will I want this weight GONE!!!!

Well Week1 Day 2 of the couch to 5K done. It wasn't so bad I am hoping that week 2 will be an easy transition. Just wanted to wish you all a great weekend with lots of great choice in the food department.
I have the fund raisier dance on Saturday and I am pretty sure the calories will all be coming from the bar:drinker: But I will make up for it on Sunday with a workout (I never work out on Sunday's it's usually my day off but I will need it:happy: )

Hi my friends ... my goodness, I feel like I've been neglecting everyone and everything. As you can see by the new profile picture ... renovations have taken over all of my spare time. It's a crazy amount of work that I want done. It will be well worth it in the long run ... I wish I was rich ... then I'd hire some young strapping men with names like Sven, Raphael, or Carlos to do the work. I'd be taking way more pictures then I do now if that happened. LOL

Its pretty dreary here too. I have been sooo bad this weekend. It was my hubby's B-Day on the 24th and we were celebrating the whole weekend. Needless to say I ate a lot and probably gained weight. The weight that took me so long to lose. I'll just try extra hard to loose it again this week.

OH MY GOODNESS ... PMS + All You Can Eat Buffet = I`m so full I could burst. Seriously, it feels like my skin is too tight. I decided to give myself a night off since I`ve been so good since the beginning of June. I don`t feel guilty, but I sure do feel uncomfortable ... it hurts ... lesson learned. I just can`t eat like I use to.

Hi Marrgie, I have been pigging out for several days now and it has got to stop. Don't know what happem. But I just can't get full. Maybe this confession will help. Got to get back in the grooved.

I am doing good. I have been kinda pigging out myself the last couple of days, surprisingly I have'nt really gained weight, which is kinda odd. I am hoping to get back on track today. No more temptations:grumble:

Hi Guys, so sorry I haven't checked in for awhile (thanks Magglett for checking on me) I really appreciate it. I have been doing ok this week I am fighting a cold and seem to be stuck with the scales. I think it is becausse I am not eating enough calories for the amount of exercise I am doing'. I eat around 1200 calories but usually gain 600-800 from exercise. I just can't seem to allow myself to eat those calories but from what I am reading I have to in order for my body not to go into starvation mode. I really really have to think about all those calories, I am not hungary and I feel I am eating enough but I get to this point and it's like my body won't allow it to go any lower.
I weigh 233 lbs so it should be coming off much faster....it is sooooo frustrating!!!!:sad:
Anyway I ranted enough for now and I won't give up I will keep working out and really focus on the eating part.
Again sorry for not checking in I guess I just didn't know what to say but once the fingers started typing well it started coming out :laugh:
Good luck all tomorrow I will let you know how I do.

Sheri: I know how you feel about eating the exercise calories ... I had a hard time with that. My mind kept saying "how can more calories help me lose weight?" I got a heart rate monitor and when I saw what I was burning I thought ... that's too many calories to eat on top of the 1200 I ate today ... but once I started eating those calories the weight started to fall off. I just decided to try it one week to see what would happen and I lost something like 5 or 6 lbs that first week and kept losing a couple a week until 20 lbs were gone. After that it started slowing down but it's still coming off in the long run. Give it a try ... eat the exercise calories ... with healthy stuff ... not junk ... and it may surprise you. I'm glad you're back with us ... good luck and feel better with that cold soon.0 -

Hi there my Thursday Friends ... just want to drop a quick note ... my computer is being wonky ... maybe a virus or something ... my techie friend will be checking it out for me but not 'til next week so not sure when I can get back on. I'm heading out of town for a few days so I'm hoping to have this fixed up after I get back. Honestly ... what ever is going on is making this computer sooooo slow. Please don't count me out if I'm not on for a while ... I'll be back as soon as I can.
