I want to make a great and motivational playlist for my workouts each day. What do some of you have on your playlists? I need lots of songs so any suggestions would be awesome.

I work out to fast paced, hard guitar and drums metal. Nightwish and Sonata Arctica have great fast paced songs that work well with cardio. Or my nerd metal really gets me going (Powerglove and Black Mages).

So I guess I don't really use music for motivation (except to listen to it more) but for energy.

Im a hip-hop/R&B head, some pop, but some stuff has mass appeal...

We Found love-Rihanna...this one is great because it is so fast paced, its perfect when you really need to push!

Don't Wanna Go Home- Jason Derulo

    More-Usher...again fast pace!

    Firework- Katy Perry...motivational!

All of the Lights- Kanye West

    Born this way- Lady Gaga

I have like 6 or 7 playlists so I don't get bored, this is just some of one of them!
  • I actually see that being very motivational territhefrog. Thank you everyone for posting I have gotten a lot of great ideas.

I actually use Pandora. Its free on my Android. I searched for Pop Fitness Radio & it is awesome! However, many times I need more uplifting music and I also enjoy Casting Crowns radio and stuff like that. Just go to the search area and type in fitness, and it will give you a lot of options. Then if you are listening, and a song comes on you don't like, you can just skip thru it! :)
  • I didnt even think about pandora. Its awesome.

I listen to Metallica and try to keep my pace in time with Lars! It's not easy, but it's a great challenge!

Sometimes I like old big band swing dance music, sometimes I like heavy funky beats like The Prodigy, sometimes I Iike Bhangra, it's so peppy and cheerful sounding. Oh, and Asian Dub Foundation.
