Good running shoes for wide feet?

I'm looking to buy some new running shoes. The only places we really have in town that I know of are foot locker and Finishline. I tried some on today but most of them seem too narrow and the arches of my feet seem to overhang the sole of the shoe if that makes sense so there's not much support under my arch. Any suggestions for wider women's running shoes the lady working there wasn't very helpful. :(

    My mom has rather wide feet. Her favorite brand are avia!

    I have wide feet. I have Brooks running shoes and they are extremely comfortable! I highly recommend them. I went to a running store (Fleet Feet) and they fitted my feet and suggested these to me.
