After losing nearly 40 pounds last year using My Fitness Pal...I am back--because nothing else has worked for me! Grad school just proved to be too much to deal with this past semester and I completely fell off my weight loss and healthy eating. I am starting to beat myself up really good for it too. Although everyone is human and things happen--I know I need to do this for me and to be more healthy.

I need lots of encouragement and lots of friends to help me along the way to keep me accountable. I am looking for people who have a lot to lose - I need to lose about 70-80 pounds total to be where I want to be. I am staring again because I am getting back to "me". I liked the "skinny" me a lot. And I liked the clothes I was able to buy and wear. I am starting back logging today..and back on exercise starting tomorrow.

Wanted to say hello again...and see if anyone wanted to be my friend--and help a girlfriend out!

:) Rachel

  • I'm here for you! & I totally understand where you're coming from - everyone keeps asking me what my next step is in my career - (whether I plan to get my MBA or move into management) I have to let them know that I need to focus on me and my health.

Don't beat yourself up, that won't get you anywhere! You have to stay positive!

  • Thank you so much Jamie! I appreciate your encouragement. I waited 20 years to go back for my masters and it is challenging with working full time...but I am doing it. Just need to figure out how to be good to body along the way and not stress eat! I love to cook and I love food..that is my problem..but I recognize it. I know what works for me and MFP worked before so I am trying it again.

Thanks for adding me as a friend!

Feel free to add me too! The more poeple that can see my progress, I better that I hope to do myself. We're all in this together here :)

Of course we want to help! I'm in much the same boat. I lost about 40 lbs last year myself and just the stressors of work (or lack thereof) and money (or not having any) totally threw me off my game. I am starting over too and I need someone to boot me in my fanny every day to keep me accountable because I'm having a hard time keeping myself on track. So if you still need friends feel free to add me and we can support each other!!! Good Luck!!
