Can't seem to lose weight!

I have been watching my weight for about a year, did 3 months with WW over last summer and did quite well. This time last year I was going between 13st 1lb and 12st 13lbs. This is OK BMI for my height but I wasn't happy andWW did kik start me losing weight.
So at the sart of 2012 I was 12st 6 doing the 30ds daily, and eating healthily as I was still trying to get down nearer to 12st. Then after a few weekends away and one thing and another and not being able to work out regularly I piled it all back on and ended up back at 13st 1lb at the start of March.
I am now trying so hard again, since then I have been aiming to lose 1lb per week. I have been watching my calories on MFP, eating all the right things, jogging, swimming, and regular varied DVD workouts focussing on cardio and toning. But it has taken weeks for me to get to 12st 11. I weighed myself last week and had got to 12st 10 which was great, so happy! But I went out with friends for a meal on Fri and had some drinks on Sat, and on weighing myself this morning I am back up to 12st 13lb.
Feeling quite demotivated right now, I know the drinks and food wil have added calories, but the thought of gaining 3lbs over just one weekend makes me feel quite low and not sure what else I can do. I know muscle can weigh more than fat and it is possible that I have developed muscles through the workouts, but my size 14 clothes still feel a bit too snug and my measurements haven't changed.
Is there anything I can do to boost myself and kick start by losing a few pounds?

You need to up your cardio exercise, don't decrease your calories as you dont want to put your body into starvation mode but try doing 50% more cardio for 2-3 weeks, increases the difficulty and the level you are pushing yourself at as well.0

3 lbs would be over 10,000 extra calories. Don't think that you did that bad. It is likely just some water weight and you will be fine in a few days. Your weight fluctuates from day to day.
You can try to cut carbs a bit and see if that jump starts you. If you keep the carbs under about 80 net per day that should help you. Up your protein when you cut carbs and that will keep you full longer and help with the muscle rebuilding after exercise.0 -
Thanks for the comments, I will try reducing my carb intake and if possible squeeze in some more cardio...already working out 6 days per week for around an average of 40-45 mins per day!0

it would help if you open your diary then people can see if there is anything causing you problems calorie / food wise.0

The scale is not everything. take measurements too. Don't weight yourself so often and when you do also, try to aim for the same time of day - i can put on three pounds from morning until night. If you do want to weigh yourself regular, do it daily and see how you fluctuate over the month you'd be surprised. Weight is slow and progressive, keep at it and you will see the results you wnat. Good Luck0
