I use it all the time. I would say I do use it in place of texting quite often.

I don't use it. Many of the people I communicate with are not on FB. I do have unlimited text on my iPhone's plan.

I just got the evil FB command to download it. No freaking way! I hate IM! Very intrusive! I don't want my old bf from 1984 shooting me an IM--YUCK!

Texting by phone is only for my inner circle--people I really want to talk to!

No one I know uses FB messenger. One person messages me in Google.
    Texting for everything else.

I can't stand FB messenger. It's always the people I don't want to talk to who message me.

I use facebook messenger on my phone. I think the more popular form of texting off the cellphone plan would be google voice. It is free for google phones. I rarely use my texts anymore because I'm always texting from Google voice!

It's honestly the same for me. I have msn on my phone and I have the facebook message thingie on my phone. Honestly both are the same as texting with an iphone. I just use a different application to send the words. I text a lot, but a couple of my closest friends are from Australia and the UK and I'm in the states...so using these versus texting is much cheaper and I like to see when they are typing. :) When I'm at home I just use the web based versions though. :)

There's a multitude of options for messaging friends which are all free and avoid the cost of text messaging. FB is one. MFP is another. Viber, KIK also. and I know kids who use things like whereis.com Apparently you can send 5 free texts to phone numbers through whereis.com on a daily basis. We dont need text messaging anymore.

I rarely use FB messenger, but I do use Google chat more than I text. Way more than I text.

Google chat is the way to go.

I'm not a fan of FB Messenger, in fact I'm over FB in general. Texting is just so much easier!
