If you want to eat less carbs, EAT LESS CARBS!
Well that's the simple answer anyway. You need some more protein then. Meat, eggs, fish. More vegetables. Have some fruit for fibre. When you do eat carbs, make sure they're wholegrain.
I struggle to eat enough protein, so I'm going to start having whey protein shakes more regularly. Turkey is great for protein though. As are eggs.
Up your fats too. Not trans fats, cos they're awful. But dairy products - butter, cheese, milk. Keep within your calories though. Don't be eating a stick of butter every day or anything. Nuts are good for fats too.0 -
Are you vegetarian or vegan? If so, the rest of my post probably won't help much.
Eat more meat! Try having eggs for breakfast. Hard-boiled eggs make a great snack. Have some grilled chicken breast in your salad. Peanuts and peanut butter. Dairy. All good protein sources. If you really just don't want to do animal products, quinoa is a grain that contains complete proteins. I've never had it, but I hear it's delicious.
The answer to eating more protein is just to eat more protein. Animal products are the most readily-available sources of protein, so unless you're just averse to eating them, add more into your diet. It's as easy as that.0 -

There is nothing wrong with eating carbs...comples carbs that is! Have oatmeal with a hard boiled egg for breakfast instead of granola. Have a turkey sandwich for lunch, just put it on whole grain bread, with hummus instead of mayo and have veggie sticks instead of chips. You can have carbs, just pick the right ones and pair them with a protien and a good fat. There are tons of options. A great snack is an apple with almond butter or natural peanut butter. Cottage cheese with an individual serving size of apple sauce(sugar free) and a handful of almonds. Do some research to find out more compex carb options...YOUR body NEEDS carbs to fuel!!!0
