Buttery Mushroom Flavored Shirataki Noodles (252 Calories For One Pound Of Noodles)
Start with the following ingredients:
Note: I added 1/2 red bell pepper, at the last minute (not pictured).
Spray a pan with olive oil cooking spray, preheat on “HIGH,” and brown a 1/2 onion, chopped.
Use small amounts of water to control pan temperature. Also feel free to spray a small amount of cooking spray on the onions to help them brown.
Add one pound of shirataki noodles that have been thoroughly rinsed in hot water and drained.
Immediately add 1/2 bell pepper (chopped), if desired.
Continue to cook on high until noodles are fairly dry (7-8 minutes). Reduce heat to medium and then add 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine.
After thoroughly blending the butter/margarine into the noodles add 1/2 cup of condensed cream of mushroom soup.
Thoroughly blend condensed soup into noodle mixture, add garlic powder and pepper and let simmer for several minutes.
Serve.
This dish microwaves wonderfully, so it will travel to work very easily for lunch.
Enjoy!

Asian markets are your best bet. Otherwise try health food stores like Whole Foods or supermarkets in the tofu section.
