hello i am need some advice..iam very morbidly obese and i have been doing yourself fitness for the last two weeks..on 15 minutes a day everyday..and doing well only had two days where i did not do it..anyways..i am finding the workouts are getting easier now. i have it on a basic level workout because i am 435 pounds and only 5'2..and i am wondering if i should increase the number of minutes of the work out to 30..or just work up till i get that far...or stay at 15 minutes and increase the intensity..not sure what to do..some help would be appreciated...thanks..

First of all, congratulations on sticking to it!
I would think either one would work. You should get similar results from doing the same level for a longer time as you would from the same time at a higher level. For safety's sake, I personally would increase the time and keep the level the same.
You could try both ways, and see which you like better. Or alternate back and forth from day to day for a while. Or log them both into MFP and choose the one that burns more calories.
Either way, the MOST important thing is to continue! Success only has two steps: 1) Start and 2) Keep going!0 -
MFP and choose the one that burns more calories.
Hah!! I like that.
Any others have ides? I'd like to know, too. Trying to slowly do more but it is hard with congestive heart failure to do much for too long without getting winded!0 -
I am no expert but personally liked to bump up the time by about 5 minutes a day until I was happy with my time (it was working me but not super hard), then added difficulty after a while. I am now trying walking/running and am doing the exact same thing. Great job! I love the feeling I get when I have to do more because I'm getting stronger! I use a program for xBox Kinect, feel free to add me if you want to!0

i worked out for the 30 minutes last night..it wore me out again...i was glad..i am going to stick to the 30 minutes for awhile at least 2 or 3 weeks or more..depends on what i am able to do before i hit the 45.. then when i hit the hour i am going to slowly start increasing the intensity...after about 2 or three weeks on the hour...but thanks so much for your input..i really like the new challenge..i am finding it difficult again..thats a good thing. i burned 184 minutes last night where i would normally burn only 90 to 100 minutes before.,.so its a big jump..and she gradually increases the exercises anyways..i do a fitness test every ten days..to see where my progress is..and its slowly going up....still dont do jumping jacks very good but that it is a goal. to achieve. i have been at it everyday except for two days for the last 15 days..0
