If I have a bottle of water and I add a packet of sugar free drink mix to it... should I still count it towards my water intake?

Yes, you should and you should add any calories from the mix too.

You're still drinking the bottle of water, right? Of course you should. I include black coffee & tea also.
I had a high school health teacher that used to tell us that if you added chocolate to milk, it no longer belonged in the milk & dairy, but in the junk food. BUT I WAS STILL DRINKING THE GLASS OF MILK! Just never made sense to me.

    Absolutely.

There's a lot of debate as to whether things like, say, coffee or soda (which generally contains caffeine - a mild diuretic - and other chemicals that need flushing from the system) counts, but there's really nothing in sugar free drink mix that's going to mess with the water all that much.

LOL. I know it's technically still water but I have seen a few people on here say that if you add anything to it so that it's not PURE WATER, it doesn't count. Just wanted to get some opinions.
