What don't you get about it? I can try to explain.0

No... I don't get it either.0

What's the point? It is just an abbreviated status update. :huh:0 -

What's a twitter? Some kind of sound machine perhaps?0

Exactly. Some people use it to communicate instead of Facebook. It can be set to private. I think the majority of people use it to follow celebrities and organizations. That's all I use it for.0 -

Which would be why I don't use it.0 -

I get news updates about current events and what not faster on twitter than I do anywhere else. I kind of love twitter lol0 -
What's twitter :huh:0
-
I love me some twitter.0

I don't enjoy twitter for personal communication but I do enjoy it for news and the like. It is a powerful advertising/marketing tool.0
-
the goal of my twitter account is to say completely random things with very little context.. shortly0
-
I use it privately to record happy moments, like a notebook - but one I can update by voice. 140 character proof of a beautiful moment and at the end of every year- reading them all back ♥0

And then you find those random drunk tweets you sent out and you're like "OH GOD WHY???"
I mean...that's never happened to me.0 -
For business purposes, it's effective. I found many clients on twitter. But if it's being used for personal/social uses, yes I understand the I don't get it part.0

here's what i do on the twitter machine:
i make jokes, and tweet random things (sometimes without context, too :-) i follow family members and friends. i find other people who share my interests (like sports teams, music, etc.) i follow them and chat with them during a game, or something.
i don't really follow celebrities, because, i just don't care that much.
i get some interesting information there (it's the place that i heard of Michael Jackson's death, for instance), articles, videos, etc...
i enjoy it. but it's not for everyone.0 -
Am I the only one that doesn't get it?
It is the biggest time sucker. I use it because it is exciting to get tweeted back by a celebrity. LOL0 -
I didn't get it at first...it took me a couple of months to really get into it......now 20k tweets later....I love it! LOL
It also depends on who you are following whether or not your time on there will be enjoyable. IMO0 -
I rarely tweet, but I do have it to see the latest and most current news updates.
it is a great way for networking if you are a celebrity or own a business.0 -
I love it...Jenna Jameson tweeted me back last night about Bethenney Frankel....no joke.0
-
different uses for different people...venting, breaking news, following events and peoples opinions of it. I used it during the Egyptian revolution for up to the second observations from the scene as well as immediate pictures and videos.
note: The news of "something going down" at the Bin Ladin compound was sent over twitter first.0 -
I tweeted back and for with Heidi Watney <333333330

that's my thought too... I use it as a marketing tool for my business. I find facebook more effective for personal use.0 -
Twitter is great for me for finding people to talk about things with similar interest to me. When I started people acutally used hashtags right so I found a ton of twins fans. I have actually become friends with people outside of it. Twitter if for finding people you should be friends with and FB is for keeping in touch with people that you used to be friends with but shouldn't be friends with any longer.
I follow a bunch of athletes but not that many celebs as I find most of them boring.0 -
anyone can follow me by the way :-) @interceptor00110

I use it. I don't follow celebrities, only news people/stations and some random people who I find entertaining.0
