Why don't I get full?

Why can I eat a whole frozen pizza and still have room, meanwhile my (much smaller and probably healthier) little sister only has one piece and is good for the night? I had six. One thousand and something cals and 75 grams of fat for that. No way.

  • I'm like you. My appetite is a force of nature. For me, cutting my carbohydrate intake and keeping my exercise to short sessions seems to work wonders. Oh, and not trying to set my calorie allowance too low, either.

Another thing: lately I don't start eating until lunchtime. I'm never hungry in the morning (unless I get up at stupid o'clock like I did today).
  • pizza is my downfall! I could eat an entire pie no problem and not be full and once Ive started I cant stop. So I dont eat it. OR I plan ahead and save my calories and I order a pap johns small veggie (pineapple, grn peppers, onions and tomatoes) light on the cheese (going to try no cheese next time!) and I just eat the whole thing.

that being said, your body is used to having more food to make it full (my opinion, not necessarily backed up by science  ) Try this: put 1 slices on a plate, wrap the rest up, throw it away, whatever you have to do not to eat it. then drink a HUGE glass of water, eat a BIG salad with lots of veggies then eat the one or two pieces of pizza. then leave the area. just a thought

Some people say they never feel full. I don't actually think it's necessary to feel full. Usually, I just stop eating when I think I've eaten an appropriate amount. My pizza limit is two slices of a large pizza. I'll eat 1/3 of a frozen pizza.

I'm the same! I can eat a whole pizza no problem.....we are all programmed differently, I obsess about food continually and diagnosed food addict so to stop at one piece .........ahhh NO! I'm all or nothing! guess we all have our weaknesses!

I have a pretty healthy appetite, and I think I've wrecked my endocrine system to where my body has no signals left at all. I have no shut-off! I set my goal to lose only a half pound per week so I get to eat more, plus I run a lot so I get to eat more, AND if I eat protein every time I eat anything I feel fuller longer.
