I started this weight loss journey on July 5, 2011, exactly 316 days ago. At the time I did not own a scale, I was exceeding all of my size 16 clothes and I had a hard time climbing a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. For some reason none of these issues seemed to effect me. The turning point for me in this weight loss story was buying a skydiving deal with friends. Reading the requirements after purchase I found that I had to go through special procedures because I exceeded 200 lbs. I was so embarrassed that I would have to go through doing something special that I made the decision to lose weight before we scheduled the trip. In July I started to log religiously everything I placed in my mouth. (I log immediately after eating to make sure that I don't forget anything). My two favorite foods I removed in total from my life: bread and potatoes. (I now eat them but it took me almost 6 months before I would even test my self with it). I knew I had an extreme weakness for them and I wanted to take this journey seriously so they were out.

Besides logging all of my food, I started to walk at lunch, I started doing the stairs at work at least once a day. Gradually my exercise routine increased but starting out all I did was walk and climb the stairs. Now I have graduated from the C25K routine and run. I completed my first running half marathon just this month in a time of 2:00:28.

As of today I am down 75 lbs. I went from 215 down to a little below 140.Below are some pictures of me before the start of this journey and during the journey.

I thank all of my supporters and motivators in this journey. I have achieved something in this battle I never knew I would or even could…I am now "healthy". I hope the pictures can motivate each of you that views it. When I have been at my darkest in this journey I have always gone to the success stories to keep me going and I appreciate everyone that has posted. You keep each of us motivated when the ice cream or cookies are screaming our names.

You started on MFP ten days before I did, weighing roughly the same as I did and with about the same target.

    You've done so well!

You were very pretty in your early pictures, and now you're radiantly beautiful.
