OK - checked some of the previous threads but all sort of confusing. I know there are 4 cycles to the 17 day diet (the first 3 all 17 days and you just recycle thru them until you reach goal). But can anyone lay out the basics for each cycle for me? And some ideas of how you survived each cycle would be great too (i.e. recipe ideas). THANKS!

The first cycle you eat lean protein - skinless chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, some lower fat cheeses with salad, low-ish carb veg and 2 pieces of fruit and 2 portions of probiotic dairy a day. You drink water and lemon to start the day and a cup of green tea after every meal. No sugar, no white floury things, no alcohol, no diet drinks. You will find the details on the web, although I couldn't find cycle 2 info and bought the book. I'd suggest you try it for a week and if you think you like it, then maybe buy it. There is a facebook group.
I eat nicoise salad, greek salad, egg mayonnaise, chicken and veg soup, omelette and salad for lunch and things like curry, chicken casserole, grilled salmon for dinner.
I don't think it's a 'magic' solution - it's fairly low in calories. What is good about it is the taming of sugar spikes and cravings and the food is pretty healthy. My macros show that I'm still eating a good number of carbs, but they come from nutritious sources. I wouldn't say I was a carb addict, but I like how free I feel of wanting sweet stuff or fatty snacks.
I was a bit stuck with my weight loss and this plan has helped me lose 9lb in about 4 weeks, even though I don't stick to it 100%. I have been exercising, but not manically.
    Hope that's of some help.
