Does anyone here have the NuVal system at their grocery stores? We don't have it here yet, but I've been looking into it. I've read a couple of blogs of people that have been using it and stand by it. But I've read some reviews that say it doesn't have real scientific backing. Anyone here use it? Thoughts? Experiences?

Had a quick look at their website, if I understand the concept properly they're offering a system to make making sound nutritional choices easier, I plan on looking into it a little more closely.

Let me know what you find out. I haven't been able to make heads or tails of it yet!

From what I learned at our local store, it values items based off of calories, fat, sodium, cholesterol, carbs and rates it based on a score of 1-100. The idea being if you have not the best idea how to read the whole nutrition label, you can get an idea of which is better for you. (example: 2 cans of soup, one is 30, one is 70; due to sodium content) I have only used it a couple times as I read my labels very carefully, but it seems to be pretty helpful.
