I am currently doing Ripped In 30. I want to do something with kettlebells after. Has anyone done Jillian Michaels Shred It with Weights? Anyone had any results with it?

I have it. Only done it 3 times but she really works you in that 25 minutes. I like it.

I don't recommend JM Shred it With Weights. Read some of the reviews on Amazon. She isn't a certified kettlebell instructor. From what I have read, she teaches improper form and technique that can get you injured. If you are looking for a kettlebell workout, I have have been using Lauren Brooks Ultimate Body Sculpt & Conditioning, Volumes 1 and 2. I have also read great reviews of Andrea DuCane, Amy Bento & Sarah Lurie as well.

I have both Bob and Jullian's. Bob's is a lot easier to start off and ease yourself into it.

I have a rotation I do so I don't get bored though but prefer the way JM kicks my butt!

Her technique matches everyone elses identically. It matches Bob's and Kathy Smith's off the top of my head, hers is harder off the start though.

I bought one of Bob Harper's kettlebells and it came with a short workout- I like it. Just got another one of his, it's about 45 minutes and he really works you...it's not all kettlebell, he's got cardio mixed in too. Makes me sweat! He's pretty good about form, and making sure posture is correct.

There's nothing wron with Jillian's technique. I have the dvd and love it! I like that there are two options (level 1 and level 2, 1 being less cardio-ish, two being harder and more cardio-ish) and that I can use a dumbbell instead of a kettlebell. I don't do it regularly enough to know if it gives results (i rotate through a number of dvds) but I know it's a workout that feels good, gets my sweaty and gets a good little burn on for a half hour's time. WIN!

Started this workout on Monday and have done it twice, definitely feel it working. Have down other kettlebell workouts before and I have to say I love the way Jillian pushes you, give it a go a see :)

Bob Harper is not a certified Russian kettlebell instructor either. I don't know anything about Kathy Smith. Here is a review of Jillian Michaels by an RKC:

Obviously your choice. I would read reviews before trying anything new.
  • I've just bought Shred it with weights and it is great. Her form is good except the kbell swings she does near the end of workout 2.. never round your back or put your head inbetween your legs - WTF?? Other than that, I think JM rocks!

I love the workouts! Have done them so often, I don't even need the video anymore.
Not sure why some are hating on Jillian because of her form. Everybody feel free and practice better form as they wish, it won't change the fact that the exercise lineup is demanding and effective, IMO.
    Happy workout!
