I've only watched a little of this documentary on obesity and weight loss, but it's already been surprising just how overweight we are as a nation, and how early heart disease and high blood pressure start in children.

You can watch it free at HBO.com

Great documentary, I saw the last two parts yesterday. The worst part about it though was how bleak the outlook actually is.

It seems like for the most part the government would never be able to do enough about obesity so that leaves responsibility to all the individuals. I know most people can say "well it doesn't matter people should just eat right and exercise" but a lot of areas people just don't have access to healthy affordable food so what are they supposed to do about it?

Pretty sad but I honestly think that as a nation, most people will just eat themselves to death.
