Any one wants to start the October Challenge (beginners or not).

Yup, me too. With the others as well. What challenge are we doing for October? I mean.. I can try not to eat candy corn, but that's a toughy hehe0

Count me in, of course I have a wedding to go to on Saturday, How hard will that be Appetizers and alcohol whats not good about that? hehe Actually Im going to do very well, I wont be staying for the whole thing anyway , its a day time wedding so that makes it easier.
Answers about how the challenge works is ? If im right I think it just means we keep each other motivated, eat healthy and stay active to try to keep weight coming off we are here for each other if ones having a bad day or if you have questions on anything, we all communicate with with one another and cheer each other on week by week with pounds lost.
If im wrong on this thread please let me know, but on others this is how the majority has been I guess if there is something you want to throw in as your challenge like " not eating candy corn " (dragonfly81) that can be part of your challenge along with losing weight0 -

Goal for today - Oct. 8th (whew- long time...8 days!) My down fall is to eat when I am home alone and at night after supper when I guess I am bored ( I just have a nasty habit of wanting ice cream afterwards or before bed).
So my goal will be to confront these 2 downfalls -
1) "Home Alone" eating -Change the patern-- Don't purposefully eat in private - Eat only when hungry, make sure to eat if it has been 3-4 hours since my last meal
2) No snacks after 7:00pm (only water/0 cal beverages).

My goals are going to be:
Eat every 3 hours.
Exercise at least 3 times a week, gym or running.
Walk everyday at least 30 minutes.
Do not eat over my allotted calories.
and forgive myself for not being perfect.0 -
I would like to join. Now that I am back into a routine with the kids in school and it's not so hectic anymore, I think I can get back into exercising again.
My goals are:
Exercise at least 3 times a week
Limit my wine to 1 glass in the evening (tough one)
Stay within my calories

I would love to join! I've been stuck in the mid 190's all month, and my goal is to be somewhere in the mid 180 range by Halloween. I'm trying to fit in my prom dress so I can go as 'zombie prom queen' to this club/concert my sister is taking me to. :laugh:
What exactly is the challenge? Is it a weekly thing.... or a self challenge? I don't know how the monthly challenges work.0 -

After all my losses and gains I am starting again TODAY
Its a great site and you get a lot of support
You will have to do it alone ofcourse but with so many friends around it makes it easier.
I have the same goal as some others.
* eat every 3 hours:bigsmile:
* drink every 2 hours:drinker:
* smile at least ones every hour :
* update my food diary every day
* exersice 3 times a week
* no more food after dinner time

drink every 1.5 hours
exercise 3xs wk
smile and speak a possitive note 1x hour!!!

Ok so we are declaring goals... great.
From Oct. 1 - 8, my goals are:
Workout at least 3x
Stay within my calories
Plan my meals
Measure my portions
Today is Day 1 of October Challenge. Time to put all these goals to use!!!

Ok my goals
To cut down my soda pop consumption. Right now I have about a can a day. I am going to try to go for a can every other day, so today no pop for me
Also I have been working out 3 days a week and am going to try to go for 4 days a week.0 -

I need ot drink more water, I don't drink nearly enough!
So my goal is to drink my required amount of water! And, to not let myself give in to cravings!
