Hi girls,

So i am on the pill (marvelon) and i finished my pill pack on tuesday evening (i was on time taking my pills all month). I normally get my period either tomorrow or saturday but i have come on this morning which seems really early considering i only had a pill free day yesterday?!

Could my new exercise regime (exercising 6 days a week running) which i started nearly 2 weeks ago have caused this? or could it be an actual problem??

worried :(

thank you! xxx

Yes it can. Excessive exercise can also stop your periods as well, however I think if its like constantly workout out everyday all day lol! But yes exercise will affect it

Remember that when you are on the pill you do not have periods just break-through bleeding! It can be a little irregular at any time but especially if you have added exercise into life. If the bleeding seems different in any way (colour, flow etc) over the next few months then get it checked out but a day early not a problem really.
  • Thanks all. I'll keep an eye on it. Just don't want my pill to suddenly not be strong enough for me.....!
