Hey all,
I have recently lost 4 pounds, which may not seem like much but my goal is too lose 15 pounds so its a start.
My weight changes so quickly..I'm worried I will gain the 4 pounds back as I have in the past.
How have you stayed motivated to keep the weight off instead of celebrating by eating?
Thanks!
Any other tips for keeping the weight off and continuing to lose is much appreciated.. i'm new to MFP so add me up :)

4 pounds is HUGE. Way to go! :)

The big thing is, if you're making changes to your diet and lifestyle, it needs to be something you enjoy and keep up with - or you will go back to your old ways. It took me about a full year to rework my diet, slowly finding substitutions of healthy food for the bad stuff I was eating. But when you find things you love that are good for you, it becomes super easy to maintain that habit. Same with exercise - if you're not a runner, don't force yourself to run! :) Find a DVD you like, or a dance class, or go hiking. Eating right and exercising shouldn't be a chore. And if you do both these things, then your weight will take care of itself.
