ok so for lunch i made a sandwich which provolone, lettuce, and hummus on two slices of bread from panera

these slices were about 2" by 4" slices from a small loaf of cheese bread from panera

panera says 2oz of this bread is 140 calories

my problem is.

was one slice of the bread i had 140, or were they both together 140???

  • Its just for one slice. I work there and thats one reason I'm overweight! haha. That place is packed with sodium.

1 slice = 1 oz = 1 serving is generally true for all breads
  • well the bread was really good.. luckily im still under my calorie goal with 280 for both slices.

but still, it is annoying not knowing:ohwell:

Bread is a calorie bomb! I love all types of breads, muffins, rolls, etc.....but rarely ate any when I was losing my weight, and I think twice about eating it now that I am maintaining. I haven't had a muffin since September because I know they are at LEAST 500 calories each. It's not worth the price!
