Ok so with my first two kids.. they had names set in stone as soon as i learned the gender.. this time.. NOT SO EASY. Which name do you think is best??

Samiel: pronounced (Sahm.yel) I really like the sound and thought I was going with it.. BUT I realized it could be difficult to say over and over on a daily basis.. and I really don't like the idea of Sam as a nickname.

or

Siegan: pronounced (See.gan) I really like the sound of it.. and like the prospect of Siege as a nickname.

If Siegan.. which spelling??

Siegan
Seigan
Seagan
Seegan????

I'm no help at all because I love them both, however Siege would be an AWESOME nickname vs Sam.

Both are interesting, but I see a future of having to tell people over and over how pronounce his name.

Thanks ladies.. :) I don't mind having to correct people on his name.. My name is Gina and I still have to correct spelling.. My other two kids are Sicily, and Shaydon. :) So I want a name that fits well with theirs. :)

This, people are picking way too many rando names these days for kids, and I guarantee it'll end up leading to some sort of problem.

Cant you just name you kid something normal like Jason or Kevin. You're not the one who has to live with the name your entire life. Stop being soo selfish. Maybe you dont mind having to correct people on his name, but do you ever think HE might?

well Siegen in German means triumph ( sort of like conquered aswell)

which would be a strange name I think, so any of the other 3.

This as well. My mom's name is Ana - it's how the Portuguese spell it. And she HATES constantly telling people it only has one "N". My name was supposed to be spelled Ema (again, the Portuguese way) but thankfully my mother refraining and spelled it the more common way with two "M"s.

No.. I believe 'normal' names are way too over used. Besides it has to begin with an S. I don't want my kid being one of 5 kids with the same name in his class. And tbh everybody goes through a point where they don't like their name. I don't like my name.. but it wasn't my decision.. it was my mothers choice. This is my turn to decide. And have you ever considered that even kids with 'normal' names don't like their names and want something more unique??
