It's over with. Don't stress out about and don't not eat to make up for it. If you want to punish yourself workout twice tomorrow.
Eating healthy is great for you but if you fall off the wagon, brush yourself off and start over again.0 -
Tomorrow is a new day, there is nothing you can do about the past but learn from it. Go for a long walk and don't beat yourself up.0

Find something similar in the database (or google for nutrition info from like cheesecake factory) and move on
It probably wasn't 25000000 calories, so don't stress!0 -
Fitclick.com has the nutritional information for the cheesecake. Don't give up and don't feel guilty. It's over and done with and the best thing to do is move on and learn from it.0

get over it.. -_-0

One slice of cheesecake never made anyone fat. Enjoy your cheesecake and move on.
I think I'll go polish off the rest of tht cupcake.0 -
I am with everynoe else. I bet it was delicious. As long as you don't make a habit of it, you'll be just fine!0

I've found I enjoy the one peanut butter cookie I allow myself once a week at subway a lot more than I did when I would get 3 at a time every time I went.0
-
It won't make you gain weight! Everyone deserves a treat0
-
Unless you are never going to eat food like that again in your entire life, I wouldn't worry about it. You didn't sabotage yourself. We all need treats once in a while.0

that cheesecake actually sounds good. .
like others have said, don't stress over it .. this is a life style not a diet .. unless you are never EVER going to touch cheesecake, pie, cookies etc again .. enjoy the slice.. and move on
tonight i had a stressful day/evening and actually sent hubby out for BK. i will be 500 over for today .. but i know tomorrow is another day (though i will need to drink plenty of water, to counter all the salt) :drinker:0 -
Not sure what answer you're expecting - look yourself in the mirror and beat yourself into a pulp ala Fight Club?
Otherwise get up tomorrow and eat a bit differently - or better, figure out what you might be depriving yourself of and just have a little bit of something that might help?0 -
i think you should just quit because that one piece of cheesecake probably just made you gain all of the weight you have lost in the past 2 months....lol0

Eating something high-calorie you like, once, doesn't exactly equate to "sabotaging yourself".
Thin people eat cheesecake too! Just not all the time!0 -
When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down,
And you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up just because you gave in,
and forget all about being healthy and thin.
So What! You went over your points a bit,
It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit!
It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back ...in your range.
It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now.
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."
It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal.
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,
If you summon the will to get back in the race.
But, often the struggler's, when loosing their grip,
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
that the race wasn't over...they still could have won.
Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,
but facing each challenge will help you grow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
the silver tint in a cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit,
If you bite it, you write it....But don't you quit!

dont beat yourself up, get over it - one day will not kill you. Enjoying things once in awhile will not sabotage yourself and it is not like you ate 15 cheesecakes - you had a SLICE!
Tomorrow is a new day - start fresh0 -
Guilt should be saved for when you do BAD things such as:
- Kicking puppies.
- Calling your sister's kid dumb and meaning it.
- Hitting someone else's car and not leaving a note.
I don't think having a lil' piece of cheesecake qualifies for such guilt.
Remember: One piece of cheesecake did not make you gain all the weight you want to lose, nor will one single session at the gym give you six pack abs. It's a long term journey. Minor steps off the track from time to time are not going to KILL you. You need to eat 3500 calories to gain back 1 lb. Keep things in perspective. Let it go. Move on.
Better yet, make an action plan to prevent this from happening again. Or go run 5 miles to make up for it. Get up and move!0 -
If you are really worried you can take a 30 minute walk to burn some of the calories off0

I struggled for the longest time feeling guilty about eating a sweet every now and then. but I learned that when I stress over it I tend to pig out more. but if i just treat it like an occassional treat it helps me a lot better. eating an occassional sweet is not going to hurt you at all. your not self sabotaging at all trust me I know. for a long time I was self sabtoging me by undereating and starving my body.
what I do is pre track what I plan to eat and pick the lower calorie sweet.0 -

If this is correct, it's only 60 calories more than the protein bar I eat before working out. It does have twice the fat grams, and 1/3 the protein, but nothing calorie wise to worry about. Go exercise a little and it will become a non-issue.0 -
One piece of cheesecake isn't going to destroy your diet. Enjoy it for what it was, and resume your healthy eating. There is nothing wrong with food. Do NOT feel guilty about eating, even if it isn't a "good" food.0

I say either get a workout in later and burn off some calories to make up for it, or else just focus on a better day tomorrow.
I need to work sweets and other treats into my diet (I "earn" extra calories with pretty intense workouts, or else I cut back during other meals), otherwise I would not stick with being generally healthy. I think it's important to not beat yourself up about it, but to think about how you felt this time before you eat the cheesecake the next time.
If I have one semi-cheat day or a few sweets throughout the week, I still feel great (and see results). I had a bad weekend recently where I splurged multiple days in a row, and I felt very guilty after all of that. I am back on track this week and feeling much better.
Good luck!0 -
shut up lol:laugh:0
