We are on lock down at my house. There are cops everywhere. Some guy got away from the work clean up group. They are jail birds or what I like to call the chain gang. There are two officers in the back looking around and one that came in the house with us when Sven got home from school. He searched the house. The dogs are going nuts. They were and are both in the house. It is crazy. We can't leave this room until they are done with the search. They think he is at the house behind us. It is a house that takes up 3 lots and with the yard about 5 lots. It is HUGE.
Gotta go and call my hubby.
I will fill you in later.

they found him. He was in the shed in the yard behind me. There were foot prints in my back yard, so he did come on my property. I am so glad I have dogs. All better. I left my windows open, I think I will start closing them.
He was in jail for drugs.
All better. My hands were pretty sweaty.

whew, wow. Close call. I know what you mean about the dogs. I feel so much safer cause I have a big, well semi-big, dog. I read somewhere that the # 1 thing that deters criminals from breaking into your house is a dog.

Oh wow! That happened when I was in high school. All the teachers threw us into classrooms and under tables and turned off the lights- like that helped anything....we were on lockdown for 4 hours.
Apparently they found his orange jumpsuit in the parking lot- so he was a naked criminal. We had to be escorted out of the building to our cars by a police officer who would then check to make sure he wasn't in our cars!

    I hope yours wasn't naked.

Well at least he was just another citizen over-populating our jails for NON_VIOLENT offenses. At least he wasn't someone who was convicted of a violent crime that had escaped- those criminals don't get to go out and 'work in "chain gangs"'.... The ones in "chain gangs" are all non-violent offenders- ie Drugs/paper crime etc...

I'm happy you have the dogs too Honey...you have to live, you can't keep the house closed up all the time...I live in a real bad neighborhood at the border and there are all kinds of things going on down here...most criminals will stay away or get away from dogs...most crimes are crimes of opportunity and the dogs will deter those types of crimes...that was way to close for comfort and I'm so grateful that you and the kids are safe!

Mine were a German shepherd and a ****tier:happy: You don't have to wait 30 days to get one and you don't have to have a permit. Just a 50 cent sign on the fence.
