Hey All!

I wanted to get a fitbit, because of how cool they are and because they sync with MFP. however, because of their wireless capability I can't wear it at work. So I found the BodyMedia Core Armband to be a great alternative. I picked it up yesterday and squealed with delight as it told me way more then I ever wanted to know about myself and my sleep cycle :P

The question is, how do you keep your MFP synced with your BM activity manager? I know I have to do it manually but what is the best wat to do it? Do you just have a custom exercise called "Body Media" and you put in how many extra calories it says you burned, or what? How do you keep it all organized?

Thanks ;)

I also have a Bodymedia Fit. I was going the opposite direction I was using MFP to track my calories and then just adding that using the "calories per day" feature on the Bodymedia site. However, about a month ago I lost motivation and stopped. (NOT GOOD for my results). I am starting back up again and I am going to use this site more to try and keep the motivation level up.

If you get any resposnes or figure out a good way to keep MFP updated (yes, I know it would be manually) with Bodymedia please let me know. I think I will still use both sites but I would like to figure out a good way to put the calorie burn from bodymedia into MFP.

I make a custom exercise on here for my bodymedia fit adjustment. My MFP is set to show i burn 2500 calories a day. I almost always burn more than that so if for example my BMF shows i burned 2900 that day, I input my custom exercise for 400 calories and just put in 1 minute for the time. It is labeled Bodymedia Fit adjustment.

So I have a bodybugg, but it's the same product, just a ****tier version lol. I log my food in MFP and then transfer that data into bodybugg about once a week. I like their analysis (for each measurement period, you can see how you "should have" changed based on your diary compared to how you did change) so I prefer that. I just subtract 500 from my bodybugg number and eat that much. I don't log exercise in MFP except when I arbitrarily feel like it. I set my goal to about 500 less than what my normal bodybugg burn is.

I love it, and I've found that my log matches my stats change damn near perfectly :)

I used to " chase " my number around but it got to be annoying. What I do now is base my MFP number off the average that I burn according to my BMF. My BMF says I burn, on average about 4200 calories a day so I set MFP at 3200.

My god I hate you. I wanna be able to eat that much :( A 6 hour hike is the only time I hit 3500! I know, you're a muscular guy.... but I can't be the only girl that gets really jealous of that lol

I'm on my feet almost 12 hours a day 5 days a week so that helps too. On the weekends ( besides Saturday when we go to the gym) I'm not too active. Just general running errands and playing with the kids.
