did 90 days p90x, gained 2 pounds from start to finish! In the last 60 days I lost 2 inches in my belly and 1 inch on each arm. thru the entire thiing my weight stayed with in 2 pounds until the final week it jumped. I push hard, in phase 2 I went to heavy weights less reps blah blah blah. once I finished it and was very discouraged by scale I started to jog outside. 1 week I dropped 6 pounds! eating the same things doing same work during each day... I can not wait to see what happens in 30 days! I may have some p90x dvds and insanity for sale!

When you're giving your muscles a pounding like that they have to store glycogen and water. You stopped doing that and depleated your energy storage and had the same kind of weight loss most people do on the first week of a diet.
You lost inches while gaining 2 lbs. Isn't 2 lbs relatively insignificant if you got leaner?0 -
And don't get me wrong... I love running outside. I do Insanity too.0

you can lose water in 1 week? I cut and split a lot of wood this week, I still used muscle, just not weights..0

you can lose water in 1 week?
Sure! It's the main reason why everyone who starts a diet will lose 3-7 lbs the first week or so... for the most part.0 -

Did you take before and after photos?0 -
I took photos at the start of phase 2, phase 3 and the end...myself I see no difference, my wife says she does, but I think that is just what wifes say! haha... but for the water, I didnt think it would be water weight due to p90 workouts for 90 days before.. if i just started to workout I thought that is when you lose the weight. the other thing is, the month of Jan I didnt work out, just ate right and I lost 4 pounds a week. started p90 and BAM, flatline on the dumb *** scale!0

I've found it's definitely easier to lose weight when you're not working out as hard... that could be it for sure, but to lose 6 lbs of fat in one week would mean you'd have to have a caloric deficit of 21000 calories that week.0
