Breakfast while at work
Okay firstly sorry if this is in the wrong forum xD
I basically start work at 7am, and breakfast tends to be vege delite (I'm vegetarian) from subway with a protein shake. I feel this isn't healthy at all (part from doctor advised protein shake) so does anyone have any good ideas for breakfast other than fruit salad (doesn't fill me up).
Please and thank you

I usually have about 15g of raw oats, 50g natural bio yogurt, 4 almonds and some chopped fruit. You can make it up and refridgerate the night before and take to work with you0

I keep packets of instant oatmeal at my desk. Also, I have these Nabisco Belvita breakfast biscuits (4 in a serving). That plus a container of yogurt and I'm good.0

Compared to 80% of other breakfasts consumed, I would say this is not bad at all. I guess it depends on what you are looking at when you say "healthy". Are you talking only calories? Fat content? Healthy is such a generic term that it is hard to say what you are most concerned with...0 -
140g frozen mixed berries, 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, and your choice (1 serving) of cereal. The berries are usually perfectly defrosted by the time I get to work.0

I eat a morningstar "sausage" patty on Thomas' 1/3 fiber Light English Muffin all the time at work. For 180 cals/ 15g protein/ 10g fiber it is a big winner. Plus it really sticks with you.0

i have a whole wheat english muffin with 2 egg whites, since I dont have time in the morning I make it the night before and microwave it when I get to work and I find this is one of the only breakfasts that keeps me full all the way through lunch, I don't even think about food until it is time for Lunch, it's great.0

I make a big batch of steel cut oats over the weekend and portion it into individual containers. I add milk and other add-ins (like almond butter, peanut butter, sweetener, cinnamon, etc) the night before. I heat it all up in the microwave - really filling and gets me from 7 am to lunch . I work out at lunch so I usually go big for breakfast and have a pretty big helping of oatmeal.0

This sounds amazing and quick!! Got to love that when you're trying to get out the door in the morning, especially those of us with kids. Thanks for the suggestion.0 -
PBJ (2TBSP PB and 1TBSP of the J) on a whole wheat sandwich thin. I make it the night before than usually eat it in the car on the way to work. It's not the most original thing but it doesn't require any utensils and keeps me from getting hungry before lunch.0

I just tried this the other and I think it will be a breakfast staple for me now. sooo yummy! Mini thomas 100% whole wheat bagel toasted with low salt PB and sliced apples on it. I have a toaster at work so I just assemble it when I get in. I like to switch up my breakfasts, cereal with almond milk, yogurt with granola, or oatmeal.0
