when starting my journey with MFP wring was 303.8lb (21.7 stones) now I am 276.8 as of this morning.
When weighing in stones I weighed in as 19 stone 11 pounds but when converting 276.8lb to stones it makes me 19 stone 8lb one pound away from two stones lost.
I'm super confused about this system could someone explain how that worked out?

276.8 / 14 = 19.77 19 stone and 0.77 * 14 = 10.8 lbs which is 19 stone 11
so basically it's wrong as reported. Where is this ?0 -
There are 14 lbs in a stone, therefore 19.8 stones is 19 stone and 11lbs (0.8 x 14lb gives you the 11lbs)0

There are 14 lbs in a stone. So when you weigh 276.8, that's: 19 Stone (19x14= 266) and 11 lbs.
If you divide your total lbs by 14 to get the stones, you naturally get the balance expressed as a decimal, but as 1 stone is made up of 14lbs the decimal system doesn't apply (unless you use it correctly by multiplying your 0.8 by 14= 11lbs)
Hope this helps and doesn't end up confusing you more!0 -

Ah I didn't realise I had to do 0.77 * 14! Thank you very much! Thout my scales were lying to me! Haha0 -
Youll be confusing pounds with ounces. most websites give both.
For example, my weight could be 11.1 stone
or 11 stone 4 ounces0
