Will doing sit ups tone my tummy/abs? How many should I start out doing and when should I begin to see results? Thankies!

The answer is yes, sort of. You should do various types of abs / core exercises to hit on the different parts of your abdominal wall, oblique, hip flexor, and lower back. Just do a search on abs and core training, you'll find plenty of examples. Then make a 15 to 20 minute routine out of them.

Doing Situps with strengthen your core but if your goal is to get rid of belly fat then situps don't do that you must eat right and do cardio-
But situps are good to do as well0 -
agreed! you must incorporate cardio with a balance diet in order to shed belly (or any fat for that matter). our support group (trim for turkey day) is doing a crunch challenge to help strengthen our core. i'm on week four and i feel really strong in my core (abs). check it out!
