how to log not-quite-swimming water exercise?

Hello. I am brand new to the forums and to myfitnesspal. I was trying to log my exercise today, and I was unsure how to categorize the amount of time that I spent in the pool this afternoon. I spent about 35 minutes total in the water, but the first 10 were spent walking in the shallow end (I am way prissy when it comes to finally taking the cold full body plunge) and the remainder was spent doing a combination of hanging off the side and treading my legs and/or arms and swimming short distances. (I am NOT much of a swimmer, as you can see, but I love the pool.)
Neither leisurely swimming nor treading water with moderate effort seemed like the right description for what I am doing. I wound up logging 20 minutes of leisurely swimming and hoping that the reduced time would make up for the fact that I probably wasn't using as much energy as the description implied.
