Countdown to 30!

Well, it is three months till I turn thirty and I am using my turning thirty as motivation to get into the best shape of my life. My birthday goal is 20% body fat and somewhere around 125lbs (although weight is less important to me). Currently I am 5'6" 130lbs and about 25% body fat. I start my second month of Insanity tomorrow, after Insanity I start P90x. Does anyone else have a birthday goal? If so, what are you doing to get to goal?

    My birthday is in a month from tomorrow!! wohooo! :) My goal is to be under 120, which I'm at 123 now, so that's very reasonable! Also my goals are to be able to run 2.5 miles in 23 minutes!!

    That is very reasonable. I have just recently started to try to run but I am slow! lol

    I turn 50 April of 2013 and my goal is to be in the best shape of my life by the. I started in Jan of this year and started at 170 and have now dropped 22 lbs. I started with lots of cardio and some weight lifting and 1200 calories. Then at 10 lbs lost and 20 lbs lost I increased calories and changed up my exercise routines adding heavier weight work and intensifying my biking with intervals. I now bike with intervals 3 days a week for 30 mins and bike 30 mins with 1/2 hour of weight training 3 days a week. I eat 1500 calories a day. In the evenings I walk the dogs. My hope is to be in great shape by the time I am 50; and to do it in a healthy way which is why I started in time to do it slow and right.

    I did the same thing, started out at 1200 calories and then got burned out and have upped my calories to 1600 and feel much better. Best of luck on reaching your goal!

    My goal was to be under 130 by my Birthday, which is now in three weeks. I've been under 130 for about a month though, so I was ahead of schedule. :) My goal was also to be able to run the distance of a half marathon... furthest I've gone though is 10.5 miles. Almost there!

    EDIT: Is that a sunshine tattoo? If so, I like you! I've got one on my shoulder blade.

    Awesome! Congrats on reaching your birthday goal weight early. I can't even begin to image being able to run even 4 miles (I have been trying to work up to 5k). Yes that is a sun tattoo. I like the celestial theme. I have a sun and moon on one arm and a tribal like star thing on the other. :)
