I ran today for the first time in two years: 5.6 miles in 64 minutes. My knees are a little sore, but they are pretty good, and they were the question (one was rebuilt two years ago, but I'm cleared to do whatever I want now if I monitor my pain). I'm a cyclist, walker and weight lifter so I was pretty confident in the rest of my systems.

I want to enter a duathalon and maybe even a tri...so this was a big, big day for me.

Now, I hope my knees work when I go in to do squats tomorrow...

BTW, love the progress pics...I'm too dang shy to do that, but draw a lot of inspiration from all of you for your pics and all your success stories. Thank you!

Peace...

5.6 miles is a long way in 64 minutes when you haven't been running. This is really great. Success to you in your dual or tri!
