Does anyone need to loose weight also because their job situation? I feel I need to as a regional director to be a role model for others and give a good appearance n first impression to other companies. Its stressful n challenging to say the least. Aside from also helping w/any stress n health issues I confront.:-(

I don't *have* to lose weight for work, but I know I should. So, here I am!
    Good luck to you!
  • I do a lot of work outdoors on manlifts, about 30+ feet in the air. The weight maximums on those things are often around 250lbs. With me and my tools I was getting close to that limit.....

I did. I do aerial tricks at festivals and events, and had gotten too heavy to be thrown or to hoist myself up a rope. :noway:

Hubby and I work in a ministry that serves people with addictions. We realized we could not be appropriate role models by being overweight. That and our health is exactly why we are here.

Sounds like reason enough to motivate yourself to be here. Trust your instincts, nine times out of ten, their right !!
  • Encouraging to see I'm not the only one struggling everyday to loose weight because of work. TX everyone...hang in there we'll get there one day soon. :-)

mine started because of being sleepy all the time. dozed off at work a few times. got a warning. I thought it was sleep apnea. Saw my doctor and found out it was diabetes type II. couple years later, nearing 200 lbs. lost, no more diabetes and I no longer fall asleep at work!

As of 1/1/13, our insurance rates will be determined by health assessment, which includes weight, among other factors. It is the main reason that I am here. A direct hit to the pocketbook.
